Ours is built to be private by design. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Your names, relationship date, counters, theme choice, framing preferences and any photos you choose are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud (key-value storage) so the widget can show them and your data syncs across your devices. We do not run accounts and we cannot see this data.
If you use the optional AI Avatar feature, the photo you select is sent — only after you give explicit in-app consent — over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to a third-party AI image provider (Google Gemini) solely to generate your illustrated portrait. The photo is processed in memory for that single generation and is not stored on our servers; the provider does not use it to train its models, does not retain it after the request, and is required to provide an equivalent level of data protection. The generated artwork is returned to your device and saved only there.
The only face data Ours processes is the photo you voluntarily select for the optional AI Avatar feature, which may contain faces. It is used solely to generate your illustrated couple artwork. Ours does not create or store a facial-recognition template or "faceprint," does not use the TrueDepth API or Face ID, and does not use face data to identify or recognize anyone.
The optional Premium unlock is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Ours is not directed at children under 13.
